Small and medium-sized companies and the City of Lidköping attended this first workshop based on the concept "mind challenging"aiming to inspire regarding the possibilities for using technology and idea transfer from space to earth bound business in different sectors.
The workshop was designed to generate a number of concrete ideas that can be taken further by the hosting company, but also a number of innovations/ideas that can be taken further through visualization and demonstration at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. 
Experts from European Space Agency, Silicon Valley, The Natural Step, Tällberg Foundation and students from JIBS inspired the SMEs from Lidköping.
This project is a result of the Patnership between Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) and ITM Worldwide Foundation. Behind this innitaitive is Umbilical Design http://www.umbilicaldesign.se/ together with JIBS with the goal to use technologies, concepts and ideas developed for space applications as inspiration for new sustainable products and business development.
