International Trade Management A worldwide vocational training in trade
ITM Worldwide is now present in the Caribbeans

On May 4 the ITM Worldwide Program was launched in Barbados hosted by the new partner Caribbean Export Development Agency. The first step in the programme is to prepare Caribbean export companies for export to Europe. Participants comes from ICT, Health & Wellness, Film & Audiovisual, and Handicraft/Design with a focus on Sweden/Skandinavia and Europe. Altogether 26 small and medium sized companies from 12 Caribbean countries together with representatives from trade promotion agencies.

SMEs and trade agency representatives from Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominican Republic, St Vincent, Haiti, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Granada, Suriname, Belice, Trinidad and Tobago.

The first Module "Preparation for Europe" starts with a one week seminar May 4-8 in Barbados focusing on market strategy, market ananlysis and how to create an export business plan. The next training Module will take place in Sweden and France in the end of October 2009 combined with study visits to potential customers. In the meantime the companies will do market analysis and an export business plan for entering one or two markets in Europe guided by ITM Worldwide and local export coaches.

The ITM Worldwide program was launched in the presence of Philip Williams, Executive Director of Caribbean Export development Agency, Elsa Fenet, Head of European Commission in Barbados, Dr. the Hon, David C. Estwick, M.P., Minister of Economic Affairs, Empowerment, innovation, Trade , Industry and Commerce in Barbados and Hasse Karlsson, President of ITM Worldwide Foundation.
